Visit Amazing Barcelona!

Barcelona is located in the North-East of Spain and is the Catalan capital of the country. While its population generally speaks Catalan and not Spanish, they will be happy to help you in either English of Spanish anytime. Famous for its moderate temperatures and year-round sunny weather, Barcelona is the tourist spot of the millennium. You can get there by car or train from the continent or by plane from all over the world.

There are so many beautiful attractions you simply can’t see them all in one day. The most famous one is La Sagrada Familia, Gaudi’s work of art. However, you can also see more of Gaudi’s pieces around Barcelona’s Park. The city is filled with museums dedicated to famous artists, one of the most popular ones being the Picasso museum in the centre.

When you want to shop or enjoy the local culture, there are a number of places you can go. These range from famous shopping streets such as Las Ramblas to shopping markets like the Boqueria. Here for only 1 euro you can enjoy fresh fruit juice mixes or ripe fruit throughout every hour of the day. If you want some chocolate to go with the fruit, the city has a Museu de la Xocolato. This is a museum for chocolate sculptures and it also happens to serve the best hot chocolate in the city.

Just off Las Ramblas is the quay. The quay welcomes you with palm trees and fresh fish dishes served up by the restaurants. If you prefer the beach, you can just pop on a tube and visit the Barcelonetta, the city’s summer spot.

If you’re not one for big touristic places, and you’d rather see the city, you can rent a bike or a scooter and get lost around the sunny streets, some of which are as wide as a person.

The architecture of the old city, mixed with tapas and sangria shops will definitely make you lose track of time. The city is a rainbow of different cultures, smells, spices and tastes. You just have to find that one thing you’re passionate about and you can be sure Barcelona has some answer for it, be it street art or Renaissance art.
